The WK Trade Supershorts are a true, fully featured work short for those who's work demands it.

We've taken the WK Plus Supertrousers and cut them off at the knees but retained ample dedicated pockets for a cellphone, ruler, and punches or measuring tape. A reinforced hammer loop stands out for easy use, and the large main pockets at the waist are external so the contents displace away from your body if you crouch down. And they should be tough enough for a hand full of nails or screws occasionally.

Two full size pockets at the back give you a place for that piece of paper with your hardware shop list and tax receipts.

The belt loops are wide enough to take a full width equipment belt.

Black is our lighter 8oz fabric, the Antelope and Moss are 12oz.

  • Super durable and highly wearable 12oz (antelope) or 8oz (Black) C-Canvas
  • Cellphone pocket
  • Hammer loop
  • Ruler and measure pockets
  • Roomy external main pockets for durability and easy access
  • Wide belt loops for utility belts

  • Weight : 610 grams (large pair)
  • Fabrics : Proofed 12oz or 8oz C-Canvas

  • Use mild detergent or pure soap (preferably one that's nice to the earth)
  • Our canvas has a water resistant coating which can shift and discolour through the initial break in period
  • For best results handwash until the garment is broken in machine washing is fine after this
  • Drip dry without creases (it won't take long as the polyester in the fabric doesn't hold much water)
  • Close zips while washing (they'll last longer)
  • If you get attacked by a pig and the fabric gets holed while saving your reproductive potential send it back and we'll patch it for a small fee - that's just one of the benefits of buying NZ made!

WK Supershort sizing chart - make sure you measure yourself where you intend to wear the waist band as every manufacturer sizes differently so you can't reliably base your size on other garments.

XXS XS S M L XL XXL
Waist - these are actual waist band measurements excluding the overlap for the button. ie, from the edge of the fly round your waist to the same edge. The pants don't stretch or shrink but they will "give" about 1cm once the fabric has softened. Worth noting, particularly if you're at the top end of a size range. CM 71 76 81 86 91 97

I bought these shorts for doing fieldwork. I've wo
them for 2 weeks solid. I love them! They aren't just for builders! These shorts have lots of big pockets for sampling equipment. For the women out there.... it might be worth getting the fit customised. The crotch area is quite big. Awesome product Catcus!

WK + Shorts - First 2 weeks Day 1 - Wear for 5 hours the evening after purchase. Like putting on stiff cardboard shorts! Start to work in main wear creases, but they still stand up by themselves. Day 2 - Wear to work including 15 minute cycle (each way. Apprehensive about cycling; starting to rub above each knee as I arrive at work. I wouldn't want to attempt a 30 minute cycle until shorts are better wo
in. Shorts are reluctant to make full bends, taking stairs two steps at a time. Day 3 - Rain during cycle focuses the mind, small issues ignored for major. Namely, how wet do they get? Simply said, they don't, rain beads on the surface. Wipe off and get on with work. Day 4 - Shorts developing shiny pocket syndrome. Items left in pocket can lead to a shine on outside, i.e. rub mark on rear pocket due to wallet. Answer is simple, stiff brush (or similar) removes shine.

Day 5 - Extra material at fob pocket still folds awkwardly when sitting or cycling. Otherwise no issues. Day 6 - All the main creases are now wo
in so no problems. Material is still stiff however shorts fit me perfectly. Bending in all the right places. Day 9 - After wearing shorts at work today, I keep them on for a moderate uphill walk, 45 minutes each way. I finally get them sweaty, with no rubbing issues. Wife is going to insist that I wash them now! Summary - After 2 weeks the shorts are still stiff but fit and wear perfectly. It may be months before they are fully wo
in, but I don't expect any wear issues. I am happy that they have fitted themselves to me so quickly. The shorts seemed so ridiculously stiff at first - I had some conce
s. They were completely unfounded. Shane Cactus Factory Elf

Got these shorts a few weeks back. Cycled to work on first day of wearing them, no issue with chafing, 8km cycle. Really nice shorts, all the features are spot on, the phone pocket works well, hammer holder is bomber and all the pockets well sized. I was shocked how tough the fabric is, climbing over starter bars and letting the shorts get a good opportunity to tear , dragging rough sawn oregon and reo bar over the fabric, nothing eventuated no tears no wear, probably only metal fillings from where the fabric cuts into the Reo!!, Ultimate confidence that my manhood is well protected. Great shorts Cactus.
